Well… That wasn’t what we expected, eh?
2021’s F1 season opener at Bahrain ended up being a surprise classic of the era, with Lewis Hamilton genuinely on the back foot for most of the weekend. But he still took advantage of a damaged Red Bull, and some superior strategy from his Mercedes team to take win Number 96 of his legendary career.
We also talk about the track limits mismanagement heard around the world as Turn 4 became a figure of ridicule for the viewers and teams, as a change from Race Direction… Didn’t look great. We also review F2’s season opener, as it was a big weekend for the rookies, with Liam Lawson and Oscar Piastri impressing with wins, while Guanyu Zhou took the feature race!
