It’s the true start of the 2024 Motorsport Season, and it’s time for us to take our own crack at previewing the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona!

It’s Rolex time again, and we got a full GTP preview of the main runners and riders. Cadillac take the pole with the #31 car and Pipo Derani breaking the all-time lap record, but there’s a four-driver superteam alongside in the #01 car with Scott Dixon and IndyCar Champion Alex Palou joining forces!

We have a fleet of Porsche’s, as well as customers behind them, but can they execute when it matters most? How about BMW? Where’s their ceiling as they collab with IndyCar’s RLL? And what about Acura in a new partnership with Andretti? And don’t forget, Jenson Button joins the #40 car as the Taylor brothers come back together!

Welcome back to electric avenue to a Mexico City ePrix that… happened. Seriously, this wasn’t a classic but we surprised ourselves by going 50 minutes on an ePrix that had (count em’), THREE on-track overtakes!

Pascal Wehrlein would dominate the running, winning comfortably almost lights-to-flag from pole position, ahead of Buemi at Envision and Nick Cassidy’s Jaguar debut getting him on the podium in third. But is Mexico responsible for the lack of action, or the cars themselves?

We also try to make sense of the pecking order, has enough changed? Is Jaguar and Porsche still on top? Where does ERT fit in alongside DS and Nissan?

And finally, we review the first offering of Whisper’s production and whether it was a good idea to have Jermaine Jenas anchor a Formula E broadcast (No, god bless him he tried), and whether the show has missed a trick not having one of their other shows featured…

So much for a break in January eh? Welcome back to Formula E on the Motorsport101 Channel, and for our 2024 Season Preview, we brought in Motion Podcast host Sascha Garlick back to chinwag over the Season 10 that starts this Saturday in Mexico City!
