Episode #49: King Of The Sachsenring

It’s just a two-man show for #Motorsport101 this week, but it’s still gonna be fire!

We talk about MotoGP’s insane Germany weekend, as Marc Marquez took his seventh consecutive victory at the Sachsenring, with one of Motorsport’s great gambles, and the suffering that Yamaha and Ducati dealt with as they struggled strategically. We also talk Johann Zarco’s title being gift-wrapped after a tight victory over Jonas Folger, and Kharui Pawi proving Argentina was no fluke as he completely dominated the Moto3 round.

IndyCar’s also on the bill as we talk the Honda IndyCar Grand Prix of Toronto, and how miserable an affair it was as Scott Dixon got screwed out of a surefire win via the Caution flag system, as Will Power took his 3rd win in the last 4 rounds. We also talk Emma Davies Dixon going FULL Ayesha Curry as she tweeted her disdain for the series after Simon Pagenaud (And half the field) crossed the pit exit lines again. But hey, James Hinchcliffe got on the podium, so that’s all good, right?

We also talk about the Italian Grand Prix potentially moving to Monza, some follow-up thoughts on the International Fantasy Draft, and a soft announcement for our special Episode 50 plans! Thanks for watching!

Derek Warwick podcast in association with Mercedes-Benz

It’s a big one… Our 100th podcast here at Motor Sport and it’s the first one in partnership with Mercedes-Benz. It was also our first podcast al fresco in the British summer sun.

Derek Warwick was on his usual fantastic form and we cover everything from knicking his Dad’s engines in Superstox to his Uncle Stan flying aeroplanes under Tower Bridge (yes, really). We also find time to talk about sports cars, Formula 1 and young British driving talent.

FBC indi Episode 02 – Crumbling Curbs and a Championship Shakeup at Toronto

Tonight, we review the latest IndyCar race, the Honda Indy Toronto held at Exhibition Place in Toronto, Ontario. Penske was perfect but for one, and crumbling curbing gets the best of Newgarden. We also look at some of the news from IndyCar including rumors of a new street race in Omaha, NE. That’s right. Omaha!
